EDUCATION
We are passionate about the art of a cappella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals. We regularly receive coaching from visiting masters in the art of vocal production, a cappella, and barbershop.
PERFORMANCE
We love to sing for our community! We sing at a variety of venues during the year, including every July at Artown. All audiences enjoy our exciting style of entertainment. If you are looking for a unique musical experience, please Book Us!

2024 Marks 20 Years of Harmony
High Desert Harmony Chorus, an award-winning, non-profit, volunteer-run women's community chorus based in Reno, Nevada, is proudly celebrating its 20th anniversary as a member of Sweet Adelines International. Founded in 2004, the chorus welcomes all singers who identify as female or non-binary, with no experience necessary. Guided by Sweet Adelines’ mission of “elevating women singers worldwide through education, performance, and competition in barbershop harmony and a cappella music,” High Desert Harmony has grown in both size and talent, consistently earning accolades for their performances and competitions. The 40 members span seven decades and come from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared love for music and performance. Known for their vibrant harmonies and dynamic productions, the chorus offers a diverse repertoire ranging from classic barbershop to contemporary pieces. High Desert Harmony Chorus is not just a singing group; it is a tight-knit community committed to artistic excellence and enriching the cultural landscape of the region. Through their rehearsals, performances, and educational outreach, they aim to inspire, entertain, and connect with their audiences. Over the past two decades, High Desert Harmony has become a staple in the community, fostering a sense of camaraderie and musical excellence among its members. This milestone marks not only two decades of musical achievements but also the lasting friendships and impact forged through their shared passion for a cappella singing.
