About High Desert Harmony Chorus

OUR GOAL
Through our passion for music, High Desert Harmony provides women of all ages and abilities with a high level of vocal music education and empowers and supports members to be the best they can be.

OUR PLAN

EDUCATION

We are passionate about the art of a cappella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals. We regularly receive coaching from visiting masters in the art of vocal production, a cappella, and barbershop.

PERFORMANCE

We love to sing for our community! We sing at a variety of venues during the year, including every July at Artown. All audiences enjoy our exciting style of entertainment. If you are looking for a unique musical experience, please Book Us!

COMPETITION

As an affiliate of Sweet Adelines International, we participate in an annual competition to showcase our chorus and listen to and learn from others.

THE RESULT
High Desert Harmony has come back stronger than ever since the pandemic, and the music is better than ever!

High Desert Harmony Chorus is a non-profit, volunteer-run, women’s community chorus. We currently have 25+ singers of all ages and walks of life, from Reno-Sparks and surrounding areas. As a chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) since 2004, we  continue to support the mission of fostering the enjoyment of four-part a cappella harmony, guided by Sweet Adelines’s mission of “elevating women singers worldwide through education, performance, and competition in barbershop harmony and a cappella music.”
