After a very long 14 months holding weekly rehearsals on Zoom, High Desert Harmony finally held our first (mostly) all in-person rehearsal on May 24th, in accordance with CDC guidelines. It was glorious to be able to be together once again and harmonize in person!

Since then, HDH has had a very busy spring and summer. In June, we taped a virtual performance, "The Spring Will Bloom," at Reno's wonderful Rancho San Rafael Park, and the video, which included some beautiful dancing sequences, streamed on our social media platforms with an enthusiastic response from viewers. This performance was made possible in part with support from the City of Reno. HDH participated in Artown again this July, recording a virtual performance at Reno's First United Methodist Church, one of our favorite places to sing. This performance, which included the fabulous Free Range Quartet, was streamed on July 20th as part of the Church's Sweet Vibrations music series. The video is available at https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=256476609224633

Our busy summer also included two sing-outs – at the Sierra Arts Festival at Reno City Plaza on June 26th and on July 10th at the Lavender Day Festival held in Rancho San Rafael Park. These performances reminded us how much fun it is to sing for a live audience!

P.S. We have welcomed nine new members so far in 2021 – these talented and enthusiastic ladies are a wonderful addition to our group!
